Sita Kalyanam | Sonnet – 3 | Journey to Mithila
Rishi Vishwa mitr has a divine purpose,
decided to bestow Raghav walking behind;
Nature blossomed for Ram as a grand compose,
surprised rishi watched the miracles enshrined.
Ram and Lakhan received divine weapons,
purpose of visit was to prepare and fortify for future;
Devils were destroyed and taught strong lessons,
blessings showered enhanced the brothers composure.
Vishwa mitr was sought for a sacred worship,
Heavens knew the task that Ram has to fulfill;
Raghav walked to Mithila with delight and lordship,
learnt the history of past with a great thrill.
God has come as Ram to prove his kind grace,
faith is Ram as Icon, faith is God’s peace.
